Our Program

Petra-Nia Training Institute offers a Certificate of Biblical Studies. This program of study is designed to be flexible and to meet the needs of the student. It allows the student to take classes with the objective of receiving the Certificate or to take classes to meet their individual need. The program is designed to introduce the student to the foundational principles of God’s word and to promote growth in their Christian character, life and ministry.

In order to graduate with a Certificate in Biblical Studies the student must complete 13 courses with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0
(C grade average) and fulfill all financial obligations to the training institute.

Admission and Registration

Acceptance

Students should have an established commitment to learning the ways of the Lord, a statement of faith in Christ, and model Christian behavior and character. It is beneficial to the students that they have sufficient educational background to be successful in a training environment.

Procedure

New and returning students must complete a registration form and submit payment for their selected courses. While registration is ongoing and students can register in advance for upcoming sessions, registration for the current session must be completed by the second week of that session.

Transfer of Credit

Transfer of credit from other schools and colleges is permitted and will be reviewed on an individual basis. Students wishing to transfer credits from another school or college must make a formal written request to the Dean of Students within the first session of enrollment. The request must indicate specifically which courses the student wishes to transfer and the student must provide a copy of the college catalog course description. Students must also submit an original official (unopened) transcript from the institution. Transfer credit will be taken on a course-by-course basis where courses are comparable. Coursework with a “C” or better will be accepted. The number of transferable course work may be restricted based on the policies set forth by the institution. Students will be notified in writing of credits that have been accepted for transfer to the program. The actual transfer of credits may e postponed until the student has completed eight courses or one-third of the graduation requirements of the program.

Payment Policies

Petra-Nia Training Institute makes every effort to provide educational and training resources at the most moderate cost possible. Students are expected to develop and maintain financial responsibility. Tuition and fees are due the first day of class. Cash, check or credit cards are acceptable methods of payment. Students may pay in person, by mail or through via internet registration.

By Mail: Payment made by mail must be received one week prior to the start of the session to ensure proper procession. Payment sent by mail must be made by personal check or money order. Please do not send cash.

In Person: Payments may be made in person prior to class. Students may pay by personal check, money order, or cash.

By Credit Card: Credit card payment may be made via web registration.

Outstanding Balances

Distribution of records, grades, transcripts, certificates and participation in graduation ceremonies will not be allowed until a student pays any unpaid balance in full. The institute reserves the right to initiate withdrawal procedures of a student who does not fulfill their financial obligation. Upon the verification that the student’s account has been paid in full, records, grades, and transcripts will be released and the student will be allowed to participate in graduation ceremonies.

Refund Policy

The following refund policy applies for tuition and fees whether the student has withdrawn or been dismissed by Petra-Nia Training Institute.

•  If a student is unable to attend a class and the class has not started; the student must make a written request for a full refund to the Dean of Students. The The request must be received the day before the start of the class.
•  Students may request course fees be applied to a subsequent session or class if such arrangement is requested in writing and submitted to the Registrar.
•  If written requests are not made prior to the start of the class, fees will not be refunded.
•  Petra-Nia Training Institute reserves the right to cancel a course if enrollment is short. If a course is cancelled, fees paid for that class may be applied to that course when it is offered at a later time, applied to another course or the fee refunded in full.
